Test Centre with EUMOS Certi昀椀cation
There are multiple ways of addressing CO₂
footprint reduction and to support our customers
through our in‑house test center with EUMOS
certi昀椀cation (European Safe Logistics Association).
The test center is used to improve product safety
and ensure load stability under various transport
conditions. In addition, packaging solutions are
optimized through the reduction of material waste.
Through EUMOS testing, STOK can document load
stability and verify that packaging and transport
securing function under the stresses that occur
throughout the transport chain. The tests are
conducted in accordance with the EUMOS 40509
standard, a recognised European standard for
assessing load stability in road transport.
The EUMOS tests contribute to increased transport
safety, less damage, and reduced risk in the value
chain, while also supporting more ef昀椀cient use of
materials. The tests are therefore also applied as a
factual basis for decision‑making in process
optimization and packaging design, supporting
considerations related to packaging consumption,
cost ef昀椀ciency and climate-related trade-offs.
This is re昀氀ected, for example, in the use of
specialized stretch 昀椀lm, where EUMOS testing
supports the use of solutions with reduced
material consumption while maintaining the
required load stability. The EUMOS certi昀椀cation
enables the company to meet new and existing
customer requirements for packaging used to pack
and ship products, ensuring that safety and
environmental considerations are addressed as
part of the process.
