AND THE GREEN TRANSISTION
Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®)
STOK is FSC® certi昀椀ed and has held this certi昀椀cation
since 2019. The certi昀椀cation ensures traceability and
documentation con昀椀rming that the company’s
paperboard and cardboard products originate from
responsible forestry, where deforestation is avoided.
Since 2019, the share of FSC®-certi昀椀ed paperboard
and cardboard products has increased signi昀椀cantly,
however there is no documented baseline, and the
progress has not been tracked systematically. STOK
Emballage is consistently able to supply FSC®-certi昀椀ed
products to customers who request them.
As part of the acquisition of BEWI, BEWI Iceland
became part of STOK Group. BEWI Iceland is not FSC®
certi昀椀ed however BEWI Iceland is only trading FSC®
certi昀椀ed materials due to customer requierements.
BEWI Iceland sells paper and plastic products locally
and to customers who operate locally while also
importing from BEWI to other countries. Among its
customers are 昀椀shing companies in various EU
countries, and BEWI Iceland therefore complies with
applicable obligations and requirements within the EU.
In Vejle, specialist teams work with the sale of display
and POS solutions, where experienced cardboard
product designers and graphic specialists develop
solutions in close cooperation with customers. All
cardboard material used for these solutions is FSC®
certi昀椀ed. At the Group’s site in Middelfart, Denmark,
production activities are carried out using FSC®
certi昀椀ed paperboard and cardboard raw materials.
Annual external audits are conducted at STOK’s
locations in Langeskov, Middelfart, and Vejle. The most
recent audit resulted in a major non‑conformity, which
has subsequently been identi昀椀ed, addressed, and
closed in accordance with applicable requirements.
