STRATEGIC ESG PROGRAM
INITIATED IN 2025
In 2025, STOK Group initiated a more
structured approach to its ESG work, which had
previously been implemented at the individual
business sites and initiatives primarily driven by
legislation and customer requirements. At the
same time, the packaging industry is
affected by ongoing regulatory developments
and increasing expectations from customers
and other stakeholders regarding transparency,
climate‑related topics, and circularity. These
developments underline the need for clear
governance structures, organisational
anchoring, and de昀椀ned responsibilities.
In line with the Group’s development,
acquisitions, and the evolving regulatory
landscape, a need was identi昀椀ed to consolidate
and coordinate ESG‑related activities within
a more structured and cross‑functional setup
across the Group.
For this purpose, a new role, Group ESG Lead,
was established in May 2025. The core task of
the role is to support the establishment and
coordination of a group‑level ESG program
across STOK Group and future acquisitions.
“
We have a clear expectation that newly acquired
companies are brought in line with STOK Group’s
ESG standards within a de昀椀ned period after
acquisition

43 STOK Group / ESG Report 2025
The scope of work includes compliance,
governance, risk assessment, and due diligence,
as well as market dialogue, internal
communication, and business‑related ESG
activities.
The ESG program combines elements related to
compliance, data, and reporting with
initiatives associated with areas such as the
Code of Conduct, product‑related topics, and
social matters. The objective is to support
compliance with legislation and customer
requirements and to contribute to a more
structured approach to responsible business
practices across the Group.
With the initiation of the strategic ESG program
in 2025, a common point of departure for further
ESG work was established. Future activities will
build on this baseline and focus on the gradual
development of structures, processes, and
initiatives so that ESG considerations are
integrated into the Group’s governance
framework in a manner aligned with STOK
Group’s growth and buy‑and‑build strategy.
